What is The Philosophy
In an age where it is difficult to even know what is real anymore, it’s time to get back to authenticity!
The Philosophy is a movement that challenges our established ways of living and promotes actions we can take to do better.
Firstly, we must develop a new set of lenses that enable us to clearly see how we treat each other and the planet. We must scrutinise the systems & processes we have developed & question whether they align with our true north aspirations.
We must begin the process of altering humanity’s current trajectory by implementing new ways of thinking and being that prioritise Respect, Empathy & Gratitude. This is not an overnight fix but it must start now!
Once we have articulated what Humanity 2.0 should look like and we are incorporating the teachings of The Philosophy, it is then time to implement these changes into the existing systems that govern our lives.

The Philosophy
A CRITICAL UPGRADE FOR HUMANITY
“The Philosophy opens with the most human of questions—“What’s the point?”—and dares to follow it wherever it leads. This isn’t just another thought experiment or self-help book. It’s a rallying cry for those who feel the systems around us are broken, yet refuse to believe we are powerless to change them.
In a world driven by competition, inequality, and disconnection, The Philosophy is your invitation to radically rethink the game. With bold, practical strategies aligned with transformative ideas found in Doughnut Economics by Kate Raworth and Utopia for Realists by Rutger Bregman, along with the empowering spirit of The Secret, Alex Kain delivers a deeply personal yet universal exploration of how we can build a society rooted in justice, equity, and shared well-being—not someday, but starting now.
An unapologetic call to question everything!
Why You Can’t Afford to Miss This Opportunity
This is a manifesto for the change-makers, the questioners, the quietly dissatisfied, and the fiercely hopeful. The Philosophy hands you the lens—and the tools—to see and shape a more humane future.
It serves as a harbinger of what is possible if we choose the road less travelled vs continuing to stay the course. Moreover, The Philosophy is an opportunity for us to uncover the world we want to gift to the future.
The author Alex Kain has tried to identify some of the deeper reasons for today's crisis. In this book he looks to set up incremental elements that improve over time. He has found those who had little, worked hard and are looking for something deeper. The Philosophy, is a book that might guide us away from the destructive path laid out by industrial technology and global capitalism. This book is packed with insights, the fruit of a lifetime of reading and reflection on vital matters. This is a work that should be read by everyone concerned about the state of the world and seeks conceptual resources to help improve it. One of the many parts I like is the real-world examples sprinkled throughout to help ground some of the more abstract ideas. This is a smart, timely read that encourages leaders to slow down, breathe, and rethink what is important to them and how to fix a system that is broken. I also like how the book is set up in paragraphs and titles. Example titles are, A Bitter Pill, Adult Super Vision, Building a Bridge Over Fear and my personal favorite, The Good, The Bad and the missed opportunity. I believe this is a valuable resource for anyone. It should be a recommended read for personal and professional growth.
This book dives deep into big questions about what it means to live well and think clearly in today's world. It's ambitious and thought-provoking, pushing readers to reconsider the way we view progress, morality, and human potential. Some parts are dense, but it’s worth sticking with—it challenges assumptions and offers a fresh perspective on how we might evolve as individuals and as a society. Definitely not a casual read, but if you’re into ideas that stretch your mind, it delivers.
From the moment I picked up "The Philosophy: A Critical Upgrade for Humanity," I was captivated. This isn't just a book; it's an intellectual journey that feels both deeply personal and universally relevant. The author has managed to distill complex philosophical concepts into an accessible and utterly compelling narrative, making it incredibly difficult to put down. What truly sets this book apart is its bold premise: that humanity is on the cusp of a profound shift, and that philosophical introspection is the key to unlocking our next stage of evolution. Each chapter builds upon the last, offering a fresh perspective and challenging preconceived notions, truly feeling like a "critical upgrade" for the mind. "The Philosophy: A Critical Upgrade for Humanity" left me with a profound sense of wanting more – more insights, more discourse, and more opportunities to delve deeper into the transformative ideas presented. It's a rare gem that not only entertains but genuinely reorients your perspective on what it means to be human in the 21st century. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a thoughtful and invigorating exploration of our collective future. Looking forward to the next instalment and turning ideas into practice.
Let’s be real, most of us know something’s off with how the world works. The Philosophy by Alex Kain doesn’t just confirm that, it grabs you by the shoulders and says, “So what are you gonna do about it?” This book is like if your late-night existential crisis had a blueprint for fixing things. Poverty, inequality, disconnection, it shows how none of it is inevitable. We just accepted a broken system and called it normal. Alex blends bold ideas with real strategies that make you stop scrolling and start thinking. It’s deep, but not preachy. Heavy, but full of hope. And honestly? Kinda addictive once you start reading. What I loved most is how it gives power back to you. You’re not too small, too late, or too lost to make a difference. You just need the right mindset and a few solid tools and this book delivers both. If you’ve ever felt lowkey fed up with the way things are but didn’t know where to start, start here.
Who is Alex Kain and what motivated him to write The Philosophy?
As a budding entrepreneur, Alex had always strived to become what society deemed a ‘success.’ Work hard; buy stuff. Work harder & buy more stuff. Become financially free and live well!
But somehow, this just didn’t seem to cut it. The idea of spending one’s life chasing money was one that Alex was not prepared to propagate.
Being in the business of optimising systems and processes for other businesses led Alex to apply this same knowledge and experience to those mechanisms that run society.
The Philosophy is Alex’s answer to the question of ‘is this all there is?’
